Artisticamente to say of Aníbal Augusto Sardinha, composer and instrumentista, known for the name of Garoto, is to portray the sprouting of the New Bossa (bossa nova), well before the advent of João Gilbert in 1958, interpreting music “Chega de Saudade”, of Tom Jobim and Vinícius de Moraes. It dominated with technique to invulgar almost all the string instruments, especially the acoustic violão, electric violão, violão tenor, banjo, contrabass, violoncelo, hawaiian guitar, Portuguese guitar, cavaquinho, bandolin and the piano.
He was born in São Paulo, Brazil, the 28 of June of 1915 and died in Rio De Janeiro, the 3rd May of 1955, Garoto made love of music the biggest thing of it his life, and he tried to reach a perfection, then went on to reached his objective. Still in 1952 the meeting of Garoto to the violão is registered, Johnny Alf to the piano and Vidal to the contrabass. They record Falsete (of Johnny Alf) and De Cigarro em Cigarro (of Luis Bonfá). For many, it is the pioneering writing of the New Bossa. In these writings, another genius started to blunt: Johnny Alf, that together with Garoto, is two of the most important precursors of the New Bossa. Before he died, Garoto arrives to know Dolores Duran, Silvinha Telles, Billy Blanco, João Gilberto and Tom Jobim. On the 3rd May of 1955 he died. The best musics, some successes are:
